Wild Sign Free Agent Forward

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Wild Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Risebrough announced today that the club has signed free agent left wing Rastislav Pavlikovsky (pronounced RA-this-LAHV, pahv-lih-KAWV-skee) from the Swedish Elite League.
Pavlikovsky, 25 (3/22/1977), has played the last two seasons for HV71 Jonkoping of the Swedish Elite League compiling 44 points (20-24=44) in 69 games. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound winger most recently earned a gold medal with Team Slovakia at the 2002 World Championships in Sweden scoring six points (2-4=6) in nine games. In addition, he was also a member of the 2002 Slovakian Olympic Team. Pavlikovsky was originally selected by the Ottawa Senators in the ninth round (#246 overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
