Weekend Series Win Moves Twins Within Three

A heated (in more ways than one) weekend series between the Twins and first place Kansas City proved a success for Minnesota fans as the Twins won two of three on the road to pull within three games of the Royals.
Darrell May kept the Twins from sweeping the Royals by holding them to six hits and 3 runs over 6 1/3 innings Sunday as the Twins fell just short 5-4, but the Twins dominated the previous two games, winning them both by a combined score of 23-7.
