Let's Play Hockey!

Wild Files: Eric Chouinard
| Name: ERIC CHOUINARD | Height: 6'3" | Weight 215 |
| Birthday: 7/8/80 | Place: Atlanta, GA |
| Position: FORWARD | Shoots: Left | 2003-04 Salary: $650,000 |
| Acquired: Traded from Philadelphia Flyers for a 5th round pick in 2004 |
Chouinard was the 16th pick in the first round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He was buried in Montreal and Philadelphia and never got much of a chance to prove himself. That will change now in Minnesota.
Chouinard can play all three forward positions. His strengths are his hands and scoring mentality. He has decent size, which is something Minnesota has been trying to add for some time now. He lacks upper body strength and isn't real strong defensively, but that's nothing Lemaire can't cure.
Chouinard was the winner of the QMJHL's Frank J. Selke Trophy in the 1998-99 season as the league's Most Gentelmanly Player. He also scored 50 goals and 59 assists in 62 games that season.
At only 23 years old, Chouinard has loads of upside and could prove to be a steal for the Wild.
NOTES: Chouinard played 9:27 in his first game with the Wild. He finished -1 in the Wild's 5-2 win over Columbus
